VSP Rebrand 05.10.07

In 2002, The Venice School of Photography was founded by Jonathan Maher. We developed a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality, and before long, our customers were asking for workshops in destinations other than just Venice. Our core focus is, and always has been, listening to our customers; and so over time we expanded our offering to run workshops not just in Italy, but all over the world. Today, we run trips across four continents, alongside some of the world's most accomplished photographers and instructors. In response to our broader reach, the decision was made to re-align our branding to more accurately reflect what we are today, and where we are heading.

As of today, The Venice School of Photography, officially becomes 'VSP Workshops'. The ownership of the company remains the same, the people within the organisation are the same, and our philosophy remains as before. We decided to keep an element of our old brand within our name - 'VSP' - as we are proud and indeed very attached to our history and path of growth.

VSP Workshops is a registered UK Limited liability company, with head offices in London. Our business operations take us to different parts of the globe each week, but the company's headquarters is now in the UK. You will at any time be able to call our head office, and be put through to somebody at the company.

Alongside our re-branding, there is of course our new logo and website. We very much wanted our logo to reflect our view towards teaching and photography. Clear and concise. Not over-complicated or overly-intricate, our new website is our pride and joy. A great deal of time has been invested into designing something that would be not just informative but also a source of inspiration. Every year our workshop participants and instructors create hundreds of wonderful images - we wanted our website to be not just a platform for our services, but an ongoing exhibition - a visual journey of those who travel and learn with us.

There will be regularly updated workshop participant galleries, with captions for showing how a photograph was constructed, the idea behind them, and technical details. We want visitors to the site to not just enjoy looking through other participants' images, but also to have the opportunity to continue learning from others.

The online booking process is also now fully automated using the latest security measure to insure safety of your details.

We see a great future for the growth our website, and ways in which we can continue to inform and inspire you. We believe our new brand and website is just the beginning of that.

With that, we wish you the very best with your photography, we thank you for your continued support, and we very much look forward to seeing you in the near future.
